Phase I Treatment
Among the most valuable services Stellar Orthodontics offers San Marcos families is the ability to identify and address developing orthodontic concerns in young children before those concerns have a chance to become significantly more complex. Phase I treatment, also referred to as interceptive orthodontics, is an early form of care designed for children typically between the ages of six and ten, a window during which the jaw is still actively growing and certain conditions can be guided, corrected, or minimized in ways that simply are not possible once growth has slowed and all the permanent teeth have come in. The goal is not to rush a child through a full course of orthodontic care at a young age, but rather to intervene strategically at the right developmental moment to create a better foundation for the smile that is still taking shape.
